The controversy has been stirring since Apietus revealed in a recent interview on City TV that the group lied to him and never paid him for his work.
“After recording the song (Muje Baya) he said he would show it to investors. The next moment, I heard the song on the radio.,” the legendary record producer said in his interview.
Responding to this, Papi shared his story and accused Appiatus of ripping him off by putting his song on digital platforms and hijacking the revenue. A renowned sound engineer later joined the conversation over the phone and things went south at the show.
“He’s so stupid and stupid…Appiatus you’re dumb, barter is still payment or you don’t understand the word. You say I never paid for a studio session. You are so stupid…appeetus made you your whole career, your whole life, muje baya. All your songs, what made you?Papi asked angrily.
In the video, Appiatus loses his cool and says “Can you imagine, I have done more than 200 hits, imagine how Papi is disrespecting me on TV. I am so hurt that many producers are not helping“.
A bulldog who doubles as the manager of the defunct 5Five music group has taken to social media to threaten Appiatus.
“You get paid for every dollar you collect from my investment, and you get paid with interest.
You have been supporting your family and yourself with our investment for nearly 10 years by selling 5Five songs executive produced and promoted by Bullhouse Entertainment on digital platforms globally without our permission.
Get ready – time to pay. You will hear from our consultants“. See his post below.
