The Gunners went from 2-0 down to record an impressive 3-2 win after Reece Nelson scored in the last minute.
Mikel Arteta’s side were heading for defeat when they conceded two goals to Bournemouth after strikes from Philippe Billing and Marcos Senesi.
However, Arsenal’s late rally saw them restore parity after quick-fire goals from Partey and Ben White.
Nelson then scored the winner with the last kick of the game as the Gunners maintained their five-point lead at the top of the league table.
Parte tried to lift his shirt to pay tribute to Atsu when he scored but didn’t go through with the idea after only showing part of the message on his undershirt before quickly running off to restart the game.
However, the Ghana international later paid tribute to his former international team-mate at full-time by displaying the message “Rest well Christian Atsu”.
Describing his tribute after the game, Party said: “I wish I had the opportunity to dedicate this to him [Atsu].
“We all saw that we had to believe and I believe I dedicated the goal to him. In the end, I’m happy, I want him to rest in peace.
Atsu was confirmed dead on February 18, 2023, after his lifeless body was pulled from the rubble following an earthquake in Turkey.
It followed days of intense searching after a devastating earthquake hit Turkey and Syria in mid-February.
Tributes have poured in from far and near with many expressing their condolences to the footballer’s family and loved ones.
