Former President John Mahama has launched fresh attacks on the Electoral Commission of Ghana under the chairmanship of Jean Mensah, accusing the electoral body of not inspiring confidence.
According to the former president, who is lacing up his shoes to run for the presidency of the NDC for a third time, the Electoral Commission is making an attempt by the ruling New Patriotic Party.
“The hostility of the EC president and his fellow commissioners to a political party is legendary,” he asserted.
Interestingly, Mr. Mahama whose party (NDC) has boycotted IPAC meetings on several occasions said “Unfortunately, I don’t think this will happen when we have an EC that has blatantly rejected all efforts by the National Peace Council to organize a meeting. Commission and the two major political parties NDC and NPP.”
