Fox News host Tucker Carlson called on “professional Christians” to stand up and protect a Canadian pastor who was recently arrested for protesting a drag queen story event targeting children.
The incident took place on February 25 at the Calgary Public Library, where Mission 7’s Derek Reimer allegedly joined others in disrupting a drag event by shouting “homophobic and transphobic slurs at the children and parents in attendance.”
The priest is the only person facing charges under the city’s public conduct bylaw, including one count of disorderly conduct, one count of mischief and six counts of harassment.
Each count, according to the city, carries a $10,000 fine and, in default of payment, six months in jail.
He announced that a video posted on social media shows the minister being pushed to the ground by some participants of the grooming event.

A Canadian pastor has been arrested after protesting an all-ages drag queen event
In a segment last week, Tucker Carlson ripped Canada as an “atheist tyranny” and called out “professional Christians” who have so far remained silent on the pastor’s arrest.

“At some level, all governments hate religious people, because it’s competition. And revolutionary governments, totalitarian governments, go after religious people first,” he alleged.
“That is the measure of a free country in the end: Are you allowed to believe that those in charge of your government have more authority than the people?”
“In Canada, it is now a crime to oppose sexual drag shows for children,” Carlson alleged.
That’s when Fox News started naming host names.
“David French, Beth Moore, Tim Keller and all these people who defend Christianity as true Christians are being arrested as Christians?” he demanded. “Not a word.”
“Where are all the professional Christians? @DavidAFrench @BethMooreLPM @timkellernyc?”

The same goes for pastors opposing covid lockdowns
It should be noted that this is not the first time Canadian authorities have targeted religious figures by cracking down on protests.
Polish priest Artur Pawlowski, who went viral after authorities checking for Covid compliance demanded he leave his church on two separate occasions, was arrested in May 2021 for holding an “illegal” service.

Pawlowski’s case rose to prominence when the pastor went viral for forcing police officers checking Covid compliance to leave his church.
“I will not cooperate with the Gestapo,” the priest growled. “I don’t talk to Nazis. You came in uniform like a thug. That’s what you are.”
As reported by the Toronto Sun, Pawlowski “received several tickets during the COVID-19 pandemic,” including a $1,200 fine by Calgary police for allegedly feeding the homeless, an incident that faced restrictions at the time.

Pawlowski began his trial last week on charges of causing $400 million in losses by conducting a church service during a trucker blockade along the US-Canada border last year.
Tim Stephens, pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Alberta, was arrested in front of crying children after using a Canadian law enforcement helicopter to find where his church secretly met during the pandemic.
Stephens spent weeks in jail but was later acquitted.

And now, we’ve arrested Canadian pastor Derek Reimer for protesting a drag queen story event targeting children.
“We’re disgusted and disturbed by the centrist preaching and the normalization of this homophobic agenda and drag queen transgender agenda on children,” Rymer told LifeSite News.
Everyone should be disturbed and alarmed. Christian leaders in particular are calling for Carlson.
In stark contrast to the People’s Republic of Canada, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have both moved to ban drag queen events involving children.
