Former Rep. Liz Cheney has accepted an appointment as a professor of practice at the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia (UVA).
UVA announced the news and said the appointment is effective immediately.
As one might imagine, Cheney’s hiring announcement included a plethora of references to saving democracy, which he honestly thinks he’s done by focusing the last three years of his career on former President Donald Trump as a perverted cat lady.
“There are many threats facing our system of government, and I hope my work with the University of Virginia Center for Politics and the broader community will contribute to finding lasting solutions that preserve and strengthen our democracy,” Cheney said in a statement. .

Likewise, UVA President Jim Ryan couldn’t help but claim that Cheney was a principled conservative warrior for democracy.
“Our students will have an incredible opportunity to learn from Liz Cheney, who has made a distinguished career a fierce advocate for democracy,” said Ryan.

Professor Larry Sabato, director of the UVA Center for Politics and a staunch Democrat critic of Donald Trump, also put Cheney on an undeserved pedestal, calling her a “model of political courage and leadership.”
“She was a true profile in courage, and she was willing to pay the price for her principles — and democracy itself,” Sabato said.
He is the profile to lose your mind and career because someone makes you uncomfortable.
😂😂😂 Are they going to teach students how to live up to father’s name and lose in primary by 40 marks? Oh, and I thought she lived in Wyoming?

If students want to learn and listen to lectures about abandoning every moral and belief they hold, Professor Cheney is a wealth of knowledge.
Is there a course offering ‘Serving as a Useful Idiot for the Democrat Party 101’?
Oh freak, I thought she was from Wyoming?

Perhaps a lecture on ‘How to be a Warmonger’ or ‘A Step-by-Step Guide to Losing Your Seat in Congress’? Nice your lady.
Cheney is pushing the United States toward nuclear war by supporting Ukraine in its fight with Russia and condemning anyone who thinks America is more important.
After representing Wyoming’s at-large congressional district from 2017 to 2023, he was defeated by nearly 40% in his primary.
Acting as a professor at UVA is a bit more respectable than the other half of a vaguely misguided duo consisting of her and former Rep. Adam Kinzinger.
Kinzinger has reduced political commentary on the drowning network CNN, trolled 24/7 on Twitter, put autographed copies of the Jan. 6 select committee’s final report online for $100 a pop, and written his autobiography, Renegade: My Life in Faith, the Military, and Defending America from Trump’s Attack on Democracy.
These two actually believe they are rebels.
This is very embarrassing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 https://t.co/4Dq9onWLes

So yes, it could definitely be worse.
Cheney’s role at UVA is largely a placeholder as he takes his fight to prevent Trump nationalism from entering the 2024 presidential race, he has hinted in the past.
Running for president is “something I’m thinking about,” he told NBC’s “Today” last August.
Her problem is, no one else thinks about it. Cheney is currently polling about 2% for Republican primaries.
