Often people have a bad impression of the young Kumawood actress, model and musician Yaa Jackson because of the way she carries herself.
Ya Jackson usually shows a lot of flesh in the pictures she posts on social media, and even though she recently became a mother, not much has changed in that area.
Graphic Showbiz was born from his filmmaker father, Jackson K. Caught by Bentham, he quickly came to his daughter’s rescue.
“My daughter is not a bad girl as people think. People only talk about you when you are very popular, which is the case with my daughter.
“I don’t feel bad as her father when people talk about her because I know what showbiz is like, people will definitely talk about you once you are in the limelight so I don’t have any problems with that.
“Ya Jackson is not a bad girl and everyone who knows her up close and personal knows that, take it from me. She is just playing her role in show business, that’s all. When you see her in all the skimpy outfits, she’s only modeling for clothing brands because she’s a model,” he said.
According to Jackson Bentham, Ya Jackson doesn’t wear such clothes when she goes out, “You don’t see my daughter in that outfit every day, it’s only when she’s doing a photo shoot and I’m there. As mentioned earlier, she has modeled for many clothing lines.
“Ya Jackson is a well-bred child and she is far from the bad girl tag Ghanaians have given her, she is a very well-mannered person and everyone who knows her personally can attest to that, I am not saying this because I am her father but it is the gospel truth,” he said.
Jackson Bentham (producer of Kumawood) who is away from his daughter in the film industry said that now she is shooting a lot of TV serials.
“What we are doing now is a TV series that we offer to television stations and it is going well so I think we will continue with that.
“We are still shooting some movies for YouTube and it is not doing badly but right now the main focus is on a TV series for Akan-speaking TV stations, the reception is very good so we are excited about it and motivated to do more”, he said.
