Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has prayed for the survival of the Ghana winger who is currently missing after the earthquake.

Gan shared a photo of Christian Atsu on Twitter with prayer emojis.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) also wished Christian Atsu good luck surviving the tragedy, which also threatened the life of Atsu’s club director, Tanner Sawut.

Atsu, who plays for Hatayspor, was reportedly among the thousands of victims trapped under the rubble after a massive earthquake hit Turkey early Monday morning.

More than 2000 people have been killed and thousands injured after a massive earthquake rocked Turkey and Syria overnight.

Multiple reports in Turkey say a search and rescue operation is underway for Atsu, who plays for Turkish Super Lig club Hatayspor.

Two of his teammates and a member of the technical staff have already been rescued but Atsu is still missing.
