Let’s start with the facts surrounding the “discovery” of classified US government documents, including Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented Information (aka SCI):

- Documents were discovered in places that Hunter Biden could access or leave at will.
- Hunter Biden is currently the target of an investigation by the Delaware US Attorney and is facing potential charges for information on his laptop.
- There is no requirement for the Secret Service to keep a visitor list for Hunter Biden.
I initially speculated that the leak of these documents might be part of a plot to get rid of Joe Biden in anticipation of his defeat in Ukraine and clear the decks for a new Democrat candidate for 2024. But one thing bothered me – why? Will Joe Biden’s Lawyers Destroy Documents?
If the lawyer was really working for Joe Biden, we still don’t have a good answer as to why they were searching through Joe’s office and home for documents? What triggered this?
The most likely explanation is that Hunter Biden had full knowledge of these documents because his father removed them during his last days as vice president. Those documents helped Hunter identify clients and secure deals in Ukraine, China and other places. And Joe Biden profited directly from those deals (eg, 10% for the Big Guy).
Joe may claim that he made a mistake in taking the documents and not securing them. He could claim he had no idea his son was sneaking around reading this classified material. Meanwhile, Hunter is trying to buy good will with the prosecutor by revealing the existence of these documents. I fully expect Joe and Hunter to deny responsibility for this security breach. Could Joe and Hunter point to Chief of Staff Ron Klein or a lower-level staff member as the victim of taking these documents?
