This podcast episode is sponsored by NutriSense! I’ve been a big fan of Nutrisense for over a year and recently wore another CGM over the holidays. If you want to join me and gain insight into your habits, your body and make some healthy changes, sign up here. Use this link and promo code TFP (referring to The Fitnessista Podcast) to get $30 off and 1 month of free diet support.

Today on the podcast, we’re chatting about one of my favorite topics: yoga! Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or considering your first practice, this issue is full of tips and inspiration. I’m chatting with Courtney Fox, an Arizona yoga instructor. I can’t wait to take her class next time I’m in Scottsdale!

123: Yoga on and off the mat with Courtney Fox

    Here’s what we chat about:

    – Benefits of yoga and breathing for mental clarity and overall health

    – Creating, setting up and managing a yoga practice, plus tips for beginners

    – Yoga is more than just a physical practice. How to take kindness, patience and lightheartedness off your mat and into your life

    – Balancing a yoga practice with a strength training routine

    – Finding balance in the tech world + model extensions you can do at your desk

    + So much more 🙂

Here is some more information about Courtney:

Courtney is an Arizona native and cherishes the opportunity to teach and inspire people in her hometown. She is a 500-hour+ certified yoga instructor through Modern Yoga and has trained with some of the most experienced yoga professionals in the world. Their mission is to introduce beginners to yoga in a fun, positive way, so they not only establish a yoga practice on the mat, but also take their practice off their mat and into their everyday lives to create a vibrant and healthy lifestyle. She enjoys bringing the community together through teaching at Diamondbacks Stadium, Sivana Wellness Resort & Spa, Fashion Square Rooftop, festivals and Lululemon.

As a former state champion competitive gymnast, Courtney understands the balance between effort and surrender. She quit her corporate job in 2015 to pursue wellness full-time. In her classes, she combines movement with breath and uses unique, mindful transitions and insightful alignment cues, while remaining light and inspiring. Courtney takes pride in working one-on-one with students to strengthen their physical and spiritual practice to achieve their goals. When Courtney is not teaching, she enjoys helping her husband with the food truck or hiking with their dogs Leo and Hunter.

Connect with Courtney on her website and on Instagram.

Have you wanted to try Nutrisense? Now’s your chance! I have been using this tool on and off for over a year after I found out my fasting glucose was too high. This has enabled me to make simple changes to my routine and learn more about how my body reacts to certain foods, stressors and habits.

Your blood sugar levels significantly affect how your body feels and functions, and NutriSense helps you analyze in real time how your body responds to exercise, stress, and sleep. It’s so powerful to see how your body is reacting and make changes as you go. I like to wear the NutriSense CGM every two months as a reminder to focus on habits that help me sleep, function and perform at my best.

Check out NutriSense here and use code TFP for $30 off and 1 month of free diet support! Dietitian support is invaluable and can help you assess your data, make changes and run experiments.

The weather is getting colder, and I’m still obsessed with my sauna blanket. It’s even better when it’s cold outside and you can use code FITNESSISTA15 for 15% off! You can also use my discount for the PEMF Go Mat that I use every day!

I love meals from Sakara Life! Use this link and code XOGINAH for 20% off their Meal Delivery and Clean Boutique items. This is something I do once a month as a lil treat to myself and the meals are always showstoppers. I enjoyed the shipment last week after New Years and the burger was my favorite.
