Speaking to NDC representatives in Okere, Eastern Region on Tuesday, April 11, he said, “By God’s grace we have experience, we didn’t buy it in a store, we didn’t learn it in school, God gave us the opportunity to gather that experience.”
he added “Don’t worry what some are saying, it is God’s will, I go to church and God speaks to me when I pray and God has said this is the time for NDC, he has given us strength. If God decides, no one can change it. Let us continue to pray and believe that what is arranged will be fulfilled. “
He told all NDC parliamentary candidate hopefuls to engage in decent campaigning.
“Don’t insult us because we are one family, this is one party, we are one, seeking power.
Let’s support whoever gets elected as a parliamentary candidate and you too will be supported when your time comes.
“We will not only have an MP, if we come to power we will have board chairpersons, ambassadors, DECs and lots of appointments and if you are not an MP you will get an appointment.
“So let us keep the campaign decent and when a person emerges let us all support that person and let the party come to power,” he said.
John Mahama is currently in the Eastern Region for a 3-day promotional tour.
