His submission was in response to Moses Oke’s comment that Christians listen to secular songs that do not influence them.
“It is God who gives talent. As a Christian, you can listen to secular songs; their lyrics can also touch you and compel you to do the right thing. The gift is from God”.
“I like Amakye Dede’s songs, and I like him. It doesn’t make me an atheist. You don’t judge people’s views and decide whether a person is a Christian or not. I’m playing Amakye Dede in my car. It doesn’t mean I’m not a Christian.”
Two other sisters Mrs. Cynthia and Mrs. Monica buttered their sister’s defense.
“Some of Kojo Antwi’s songs give good advice. He sings love songs. Isn’t it a good feeling when you get married and listen to those songs with your husband? Because Kojo Antwi goes to church,” Monica said.
The three gospel sisters are fans of veteran highlife musician Ameki Dede and enjoy his music, which they believe has great impactful lyrics.
