The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has received information and communication technology (ICT) equipment worth US$1.5 million from the Public Sector Reform Ministry (PSRS) to facilitate its digitization drive.
The equipment included 215 desktops, 60 laptops, 106 printers, 75 cameras, 75 tripod stands and other computer accessories.
The Technical Adviser jointly handed over in the office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ministry of Public Sector Reforms, Thomas Kusi Boffo and Senior Presidential Adviser Robert Poku Kyei at a brief ceremony in Accra on Thursday (April 6). By instrument to the CEO of DVLA, Kwasi Agyeman Busia.
The items were presented to DVLA as part of the Public Sector Reform for Results Project (PSRRP) launched in 2019 to help resource-selected critical public sector organizations improve their performance.
The other 12 beneficiary organizations under the $35 million World Bank funded project are Passport Office, Birth and Death Registration, Office of the Head of Civil Services, Public Service Commission, Human Rights and Administrative Justice Commission, Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation, Ministry of Public Sector Reforms and National Information Technology Institute (NITA). .
The remaining beneficiaries are the Ministries of Transport, Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration (MFARI), Environment, Science Technology and Innovation (MESTI), Local Government, Decentralization and Development (MLGDD).
