Shatta Wale educates US based comedian Michael Blackson on which artists are superstars in Ghana.
Michael Blackson made headlines this week over his claims that he only knows four superstars in Ghana.
According to him, he only knows Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Black Sheriff.
However in an Instagram video at Michael Blackson’s studio, Sharta Wale tried to correct him on the notion that there are only four superstars in Ghana.
Shatta Wale asked Blackson why he made that statement because as a man of Ghanaian ancestry, he should know all his superstars.
He then asked Michael if he knew Camido, but he replied, “Oh, the sugarcane man, isn’t he from Nigeria?
Shatta Wale again asked him if he knew King Promise, Kidi Kwami Eugene, Samini and Jupiter, but the comedian responded that he didn’t.
“Is it next to Neptune,” he asked Shatta about Jupiter.
“So you don’t know Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi and Amakye Dede?” Shatta Wale continued to question him. Michael Blankson later responded, “Well I apologize. Ghana has three thousand artists but no one knows them.
While some music followers believed they were both mocking other artists, others felt they were trying to school Michael on the need to recognize other artists.
