KTLA reported:
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley on Sunday, but he won’t receive a warm welcome from at least one vandal.
According to the Simi Valley Police Department, library employees spotted the graffiti on the library’s entrance sign around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, hours before DeSantis appeared to promote his new book.
The graffiti read “Ron Defacist” in black spray paint.
The vandalism took place at night and there were no witnesses, the police said.
Library staff were able to clean up the graffiti before a high-profile visit by the Florida governor.
DeSantis will attend a fundraiser hosted by the Orange County Republican Party in Anaheim later Sunday.
