Health experts were on hand to answer any questions people had about their health and offer advice on how to improve their overall well-being. A variety of educational resources are available to help people learn more about healthy living and preventative care.
The cast of Akwaba Magic’s first medical drama, Accra Medic graced the event with their presence to engage and connect with their fans and beneficiaries. Aaron Adatsi, Kweku Elliott, Edward Kufuor, Evelyn Addo and producer of the show Julia Appiah were present.
Afua Kissi-Nyame, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice Ghana explained the rationale behind the screening. “We believe that access to healthcare should be a right, not a privilege. This free health check-up is our way of giving back to the community and helping people take control of their health,” he said.
A beneficiary of the screening, Aadudu expressed his appreciation for the event. “We are very thankful to DStv and GOtv for this initiative. It has helped me a lot because I always wanted to go for a check-up, but I didn’t have the time to do so,” he said.
Organizers have indicated their intention to make the event regular at various locations to ensure that everyone is catered for.
He encouraged consumers to stay tuned to DStv and GOtv to watch Accra Medic which airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 8:30pm on Akwaaba Magic DStv Ch 150 and GOtv 101.
