“President-elect Bola Tinubu’s victory has ensured that the ruling APC government has been given another four (4) years to continue in power, which I believe will go a long way in enhancing the quality of governance. and the performance of the Nigerian economy.”
President Akufo-Addo touched on Ghana’s long-standing relationship with Nigeria and promised that Tinubu’s election would protect it.
“The President-elect will continue to replace past Nigerian leaders and further deepen the strong friendship that exists between Nigeria and Ghana, based on a shared agenda of Freedom, Devetment, Security, Progress and Prosperity.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
Commission Chairman Prof. Mahmud Yakubu declared the former Lagos governor winner of the election four days after collating the results of the February 25 election at the National Collation Center in Abuja.
Tinubu won 12 states across the country, the same as his two closest rivals, but he garnered more votes than Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labor Party (LP). The third republic senator scored 8,794,726 beating Atiku who came second with 6,984,520 votes and Obi who came third with 6,101,533 votes.
