Disclaimer: I stopped watching the NFL after the disastrous decision to allow players to discredit our country by kneeling during the national anthem, and especially after the NFL supported BLM, a destructive racist group that has destroyed cities and minority neighborhoods.
After not watching a Sunday afternoon game in over a decade I returned to the States only to turn on the TV and watch the NFL push BLM who were busy destroying our nation’s cities. I turned off my TV and found something better to do.
But for some unknown reason I turned on the TV to the NFL a couple of days ago and today I heard about Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy from the San Francisco 49ers. That’s why I love sports and this country.
Brock Purdy was a good athlete in high school but few colleges recruited him. After a humbling visit to the University of Alabama, he ended up going to Iowa State University.
In his freshman year, Purdy was thrust into the starting position due to circumstances and he made the best of the situation. In four years as a starter at Iowa State University, Purdy was one of the best QBs in the Big 12 Conference.
But NFL scouts said he wasn’t tall enough. Purdy was not expected to be selected but was drafted last in the 2022 draft. He was named Mr. Irrelevant For being picked last in the draft.
But he again made the most of his situation. Here is the video Mr. IrrelevantBrock Purdy’s Journey.
Now Mr. Irrelevant Brock has become Purdy Concerned Mr. His team, the San Francisco 49rs, has the longest winning streak in the league. They play tonight against the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs.
