The Ghana Grid Company has informed the public of a system outage that occurred on Saturday, January 14 at 11:57am.
In a statement released by GRIDco, it apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the incident, blaming the power outage on the fire.
“After GRIDco’s 330kV Aboadze-Anwomaso line tripped several lines in the western corridor of the grid causing system disruption and tripping all thermal plants and Bui generators and consumer loads,”
Grid restoration has begun and efforts are underway to restore power to all affected areas and customers, it read.
