An Arizona school board member who identifies as a ‘nervous queer black Latina’ has argued against hiring teachers from a Christian university, saying she is “concerned” about their ethics and values.
Oh, and she did so while sporting cat ears.
A Washington elementary school district voted to dissolve a multi-year contract with Arizona Christian University that allowed it to hire student teachers from its program.
At a meeting arguing for the move, school board member Tamilia Valenzuela attacked the university’s Christian beliefs.
“While I believe wholeheartedly in religious freedom and people being able to practice whatever faith they have, I have some concerns about looking at this particular institution,” he said.
“And I think it’s a really good time to take a moment and really pause about where our values are.”

Arizona school board member Kat Ears rips Christian University over beliefs
Within moments of claiming to “wholeheartedly … believe in religious liberty,” Tamilia Valenzuela proved that she does not wholeheartedly believe in religious liberty.
Arizona school board members continue to disparage the Christian university and its values, which they claim are associated with them.
“My concern, [is] When I went to the Arizona Christian University website, [they are] Committed to Jesus Christ, doing His will and progress on earth as it is in heaven.
As a parent, do you care more about teachers guided by the values of Jesus Christ or about a nut case wearing cat ears on the school board?
I would argue that the latter is more concerning.

Her profile is a word salad of idiocy
Valenzuela was just getting started. And wait until you see what concerns she has about the teachers coming out of this Christian university.
“Part of their values… [to] “Transform the culture with truth by promoting the biblically-informed values that underpin Western civilization, including the centrality of the family, traditional sexual morality and lifelong marriage between one man and one woman,” he said at the meeting.
“I want to know how to bring [teachers] Bringing direct influence to your three board members who are part of the LGBT community from an organization rooted in their values.
You see – the Alphabet / Pronoun Mafia is now their religion. The values they want to pass on your Children. * The importance of family and sexual morality * are not Christian values that are breathtaking.

A short biography of Valenzuela on the school district’s website tells you all you need to know about this hot mess.
“She is a bilingual, disabled, neurodiverse queer Black Latina,” it reads.
“She loves a good hot wing (but only with the right ranch) and shiny things.”
The love of hot wings is readily apparent. Shiny things? Maybe like a laser pointer? Because, you know… a cat.
State Senator Anthony Kern called for Valenzuela’s resignation over his reprehensible comments attacking Christian values.
“As we face a teacher shortage, Valenzuela is stirring up the intentions of teachers with some religious beliefs,” Kern said. “This is not what our country was founded on.”
“This is blatant discrimination, and someone like this should not be making decisions for Arizona and Arizona families.”
Someone like Miss Cat Ears shouldn’t make decisions about what to eat for breakfast, let alone leave educational decisions to other children.
How are people like this continually allowed to infiltrate schools in America? When will the people who promise they are not allowed on school boards or in classrooms wake up and stop voting for people with mental disabilities?
These crazies have been allowed into schools for decades. It has to stop.
