Following the decision to build heritage centennial anniversary projects during the church’s centennial anniversary, Dr. Bawumia pledged to sponsor the construction of a JHS building for Akupem Presbytery to serve the people of Kwabonta and its environs.
Dr. Bawumia, who visited the project site, advised the contractor to add a computer laboratory to be provided after the completion of the project to check its progress. He thanked the Almighty God for giving him the guidance and strength to personally undertake the project and commended the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for its immense contributions to the development of Ghana.

Expressing appreciation to the Vice President, Koltar District Minister of the Presby Church Rev AL Odai called on Dr. “Mr. Vice President, I want to say that the children of this community are very excited about this project and we are sincerely grateful to you,” he said.
“We know that the good Lord will help you to complete the glory of His name,” Rev Odai added.

As part of his commitment to the Ghanaian people, Dr. Bawumia has made donations to various groups and organizations in the last two years, including a donation for the construction of the Liberty Assemblies of God Hospital in Accra and a grass-cutting ceremony. The Vice President has donated GH¢200,000 to the Anglican Church, an 826-acre rubber plantation in Asin Nsuta, central area of the Accra Diocese and a cash donation in support of the Charismatic Evangelistic Church (CEM) capacity. In support of the victims of the collapsed Church of Prosperity building in Akyem Batabi, Eastern Region, Dr. Bawumia donated GH¢200,000 to the church as well as a brand new pick-up vehicle to Boys’ Brigade Ghana in October 2022.
In September 2021, he separately donated a mini bus and GH¢20,000 to the North East Council of Churches and Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Minor Basilica Church for the upkeep of the 101-year-old building. During this period, he also donated a bus to a church in Kumasi.
The Vice President donated seed capital of GH¢100,000 for the construction of the Mother Theresa Soup Kitchen Center in the Greater Accra Region and supported the soup kitchen of Christ the King Church in various ways over the past seven years.
He also donated GH¢50,000 to the Catholic Church in Bolgatanga in June 2021 for the construction of a new cathedral for the church in the Upper Eastern regional capital and two separate donations of 500 chairs to Makers House Chapel International. , Accra; As well as a donation of 500 bags of rice to support its COVID-19 support program in May 2021 and 2020 respectively.
In North East region, Dr. Bawumia has made various contributions to the church, including a donation of GH¢10,000 in December 2020 to support the construction of a Church of Christ building for the people of Gbaningbani in Unyu District and a donation of ¢20,000 for the completion of the rectory of Catholic priests at GH Walewale Parish, as well as some cash donations to the Wulugu Assemblies of God Church in the same area in August 2019. .
Describing the Church as a development partner, the Vice President commended them for their contributions to the country’s development and peace.
