Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio is wondering why the Justice Department hasn’t appointed a special counsel to Hunter Biden.
This is an excellent question.
If one of Trump’s sons did a part of what Hunter Biden has, Democrats would treat it as a matter of national security and everyone would know it.
Townhall Reports:
Jim Jordan wants to know why the DOJ hasn’t appointed a special counsel to Hunter Biden
While U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed a special counsel to investigate the handling of classified documents on President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, he has not appointed one to handle investigations into Hunter Biden — and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R.-OH) is curious.
So, to get some answers with his powers as chairman of the powerful Judiciary Committee, Jordan sent a letter to AG Garland on Tuesday asking to get his hands on some documents to better understand the situation and conduct oversight of Biden’s Justice Department.
“The department’s investigation of Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, raises the appearance of a conflict of interest that requires special counsel protections and authorities,” the president quoted in a letter to Jordan Garland. “However, so far, you have refused to appoint a special counsel in this matter, even though you have appointed special counsel in other investigations.”
As noted, Joe Biden has a special counsel investigating his sticky fingers when it comes to classified documents from his time as vice president and US senator — so why isn’t there a special counsel investigating his son?

Voters know Hunter has shady connections.
A new poll finds 73% of registered voters believe Hunter Biden has done something illegal or unethical in his business dealings in Ukraine and China. https://t.co/66VeLFoH3X

Republicans should not wait for the DOJ to act. They should investigate.
