Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer recently enjoyed a night on the town and experienced a dramatic performance in Detroit, but 700,000 people in the state are without power.
Like much of the country, Michigan is gripped by cold and winter storms.
Instead of getting on the ground and making sure the problem was solved, Whitmer treated himself. It’s nothing like what we’ve seen from Pete Buttigieg and Ohio.
Democrats put themselves first.

And now another star of the contemporary left, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-FBI Kidnapping Hoax), headed to Detroit Thursday evening, where she caught a performance of the musical “Jagged Little Pill” at the Fisher Theater. While Whitmer was enjoying his fun-filled evening, it would have been a completely unremarkable event if 700,000 Michiganders were without power, smack in the middle of winter. This is how the left parties rule again.
An Instagram user inadvertently blew the whistle on Friday when she posted a photo of herself with Whitmer, adding the caption: “Meet the governor, I can now say I have the key to the city. #dearborn #dearbornheights #detroit.” However, the first and only comment on the post was less bubbly: “Oh hell nah. Tell her to give her a **king job on power.”
The commenter had good reason to be annoyed with Whitmer. The left-wing governor was certainly behaving like a deserving monarch who was indifferent to the suffering of her helpless subjects. The Detroit Free Press reported Thursday that “a storm of freezing rain and snow that swept through Michigan downed trees and limbs, knocked out power to nearly 700,000 homes and businesses, closed schools and offices, shut down the QLINE, delayed air travel, caused car accidents and killed firefighters in Paw Paw. , he was electrocuted.
Whitmer truly cares about his own happiness.
