Mondays are usually the biggest news days, because newsrooms are the least staffed on weekends unless you’re one of the big three 24/7 news outlets. However, if you want to catch some great little news, pay attention late Friday afternoon.
When administrations and agencies tend to throw their ‘garbage’ they don’t want any news outlets to pick it up. That’s exactly what the Biden administration did before the President’s Day long weekend. Lucky for you, dear reader, though, your friendly neighborhood spicy political commentator trolls the nerds and Friday press releases.
So what did Sleepy Joe throw in the pre-weekend trash? An executive order mandating the injection of equity into all aspects of the federal government, and trust me, you should care about this.

You will be trained and you will follow
President Biden on February 16 signed an executive order furthering racial equity and support for disadvantaged communities across the federal government. This EO produced one of his first EOs when he took office, which mandated the federal government to initiate planning for equity programs in their agencies.
This EO mandates more to include the development of equity teams in each federal agency that must maintain equity in equity training and leadership across the entire federal workforce. What the federal government needs is more training and less work.
Additionally, each agency head should appoint a senior-level official to lead the agency equity team because being a ‘leader’ in the federal government is really just heading teams with no foundation and no real change.

These equity team leaders collaborate with the agency’s chief diversity officer, who works with the environmental justice officer and the White House Gender Policy Council. The EO lists over 20 agencies, so think about that for a second.
Among these 20-plus agencies, there are currently Chief Diversity Officers, Environmental Justice Officers and soon Equity Team Officers. You know, I can think of a few areas in the federal government that we could cut that would save some money.
NEW: Under the 2021 Biden executive order there is a government plan to advance racial equity/underserved communities, but Biden has directed the strong-arm fed agencies to launch more initiatives that will further tax Americans. Read: https://t.co/F5Yn5ucXpF pic.twitter.com/S68VcKwhAk

the point
So what exactly is the goal of these equity teams other than collating data and attending endless, pointless meetings? As EO says, his charge from our chief executive is “embedding equity in government-wide processes”.
Our federal government has been instructed to inject equity into all its processes in several ways. A “review and update of internal processes, directives and government-wide guidance to support equitable decision-making, promote equitable deployment of financial and technical assistance…”
Let’s think about it for spelling. One agency that falls under this purview is the Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
One can’t help but wonder if some small business owners aren’t getting their federal loans approved based on the color of their skin. But, on the contrary, others get their approval for the same reason. That hardly seems reasonable.
But it gets worse, much worse. The EO directs agencies to ensure that when “designing, developing, acquiring and using artificial intelligence” it is “in a manner that advances equity.”
This thing totally ‘woke’ the Terminator on us. https://t.co/CaFHoZ3zDu

Not quite Skynet, but still scary
Telling federal agencies to ensure their AI algorithms operate under an equity lens probably won’t mark the beginning of the T-1000, which I need to begin my lifelong goal of training like Sarah Connor. However, this push will have huge implications for Americans regardless.
The American First Legal Foundation says this part of the EO encourages the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to change its algorithms to audit more white and Asian taxpayers than black taxpayers. The specific part of the EO they refer to states that these equity teams must “prevent and remedy discrimination, including protecting the public from algorithmic discrimination.”
President Biden says, “Underserved communities often face significant barriers and legacy exclusion in engaging with agencies and affecting federal policies and programs.” Note the reference to “inheritance exclusions” as a language lover; I have to say that this is probably the most poetic way to repackage the concept of ‘systematic racism’.
However, a crucial part of what the President said above is the concept of backward communities. How we define the underclass community is sticky and nebulous.
Any demographic can be viewed as a minority community at any given time, which is why definitions are important.
Watch AFL President @Stephen M Explain why it is imperative to stop Biden’s recent executive order that turns the federal government into an “equity”-based cult.

Imbalance of Equity
The EO defines equity as “the fair treatment of individuals of all backgrounds, including Black, Latino, Native and Native American, Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander, women and girls, and LGBTQI+.” The left’s addiction to equity is a big part of why we have such a laughable government.
Equity is just one part of diversity, and the president has ridden this bandwagon his entire presidency. That’s why he hired our comically incompetent Secretary of Transportation and his excruciatingly incompetent Press Secretary.
That’s why during the pandemic, they tried to impose racial and gender quotas on aid to small businesses and farmers. Not because he cared about minorities, but because he wanted to care about minorities.
Equity is about equality in outcomes, not in opportunities. This failed concept tries to say that we and everyone should have the same life outcomes as the next person, but it’s just a gateway drug to socialism.
Life is unfair, and any ‘enforced fairness’ makes it more equal. These equity teams don’t make the federal government more accessible; They were just more bureaucratic and racist than it already was.
Finally, the most critical path the EO states is to clarify how equity teams “will support the President’s budget equity action plans,” beginning with the formulation of the fiscal year 2025 budget. Another example of a pit of taxpayer money is lining the pockets of bloated bureaucracy under the red herring of equity.
