According to FlightAware, the hardest-hit airports on Monday, which saw the most cancellations, were Newark Liberty International, Dallas-Fort Worth International and LaGuardia. Delays and cancellations at those airports are due to storms and staffing issues.
National Weather Service He said The Dallas-Fort Worth airport saw a record rainfall of 9.19 inches between Sunday and Monday, the second-highest 24-hour period.
Passengers at Newark Liberty International Reported Stuck on the tarmac for nearly nine hours, asked on a few occasions to land the plane and then turn back, the flight was eventually canceled because the crew was told they were off the clock.
