CNN: Biden may face special counsel, ‘full-blown criminal investigation’ finds second batch of classified documents

CNN reports that President Biden could face a special counsel and a “full criminal investigation” after a second batch of classified documents were located in a second separate location.

Earlier this week, an explosive story emerged of the unearthing of classified documents used by Biden in his Washington, DC office while he was vice president.

Ten such documents, dated between 2013 and 2016, were found, along with some US intelligence memos and briefing materials on Ukraine, Iran and the United Kingdom.

By Wednesday, the situation escalated when NBC News reported “at least” one additional batch of classified documents, although they could not provide specifics about the number of files, classification level or exact location.

Senator Josh Hawley, Republican of Missouri, responded to the news with a two-word message: “Special Counsel.”

He was not alone.

CNN suggests Biden may face special counsel

Senator Hawley’s call for a special counsel is not surprising. CNN It is notable that President Biden is reporting the possibility that he might face such consequences.

Anchor Caitlan Collins suggested that the duality facing the White House could put Biden under the same scrutiny as former President Donald Trump.

Collins suggested the situation could become a “headache” for the administration.

“It makes it look a lot like the Trump case because they both have special counsel,” he told viewers.

Host Jake Tapper, commenting on the initial batch of classified documents found in Biden’s D.C. office, said Attorney General Merrick Garland is weighing his next options.

Garland had requested the US attorney in Chicago to investigate the matter.

According to Tapper they are now “weighing whether to open a full blown criminal investigation”.

The media rushes to Biden’s defense

To no one’s surprise, the DNC’s minor league affiliate, the so-called mainstream media, is working hard to make everyone understand that there is no comparison between Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and Trump’s alleged behavior.

Axios, often portrayed as an unbiased source of news, laid out three reasons why Biden’s actions were less extreme than Trump’s.

Those reasons include:

• Number of records and level of classification.
• Actions taken by Biden and Trump following the discovery of said documents.
• How did both respond publicly?

We’re sorry, but the mishandling of classified documents is either a problem or it’s not. It doesn’t matter if there is only one record compared to 100, it doesn’t matter how the criminals responded.

Did they take documents illegally or not? You cannot have a two tier justice system just because the media likes one person and doesn’t like the other.

Axios isn’t the only outlet dropping the pretense of being just an arm of the DNC. CNN and NBC News, both of which initially reported on the situation, also ran columns saying the two situations were incomparable.

NBC noted the “crying” coming from Republican lawmakers but alleged that “the circumstances of the findings are very different.”

CNN ran an op-ed similar to the Axios report, “Biden took the legal (road) you should travel” (taking on the whole, you know, classified documents thing) and the current president acted. Trump responded that “a grown, mature adult would handle a breach of security” and that “an overgrown teenager would be a target.”

Sure would love to see the legal reasoning behind the idea that it’s okay to mishandle classified documents as long as you’re not crazy about getting caught.

Of course, all of these outlets are missing another glaring difference—Garland authorized a federal raid against one man to locate more documents, while he let another escape unharmed.

He turned the power of the Justice Department against a political opponent and covered up the transgressions of a supposedly independent president to protect him.

Maybe this is the real scam here.
