The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has assured the people of Ghana of the government’s commitment to successfully address the challenges facing the nation.
Speaking at the 18th Consultative Council meeting of the Anglican Church on February 12, 2023, President Akufo-Addo indicated that he was aware that Ghana’s times were like those of most people in the world.
“However, I am confident that with the help of God Almighty and the support of determination, hard work and collective sacrifice on our part, we will successfully face the hardships, bring relief to the Ghanaian people and bring the economy back. For high growth rates that characterize management.
The government, according to the president, “is implementing several policy measures for this purpose and soon we will win.”
Anglican Consultative Council
Welcoming the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury, Rt. Reverend Justin Portal Welby, and President of the Anglican Consultative Council, Ghana, told the congregation that the Anglican Church is a great example of what it means to love one another and give cheerfully to those in need, and it plays an important role. Role in the growth and development of the nation.
“All Anglicans are greatly indebted to the Primate and the Metropolitan Archbishop and his team for the dynamism we are currently experiencing in the Anglican Communion in Ghana. I have been involved and following activities in which I am proud as an Anglican,” he said.
Addressing the financial sustainability strategy of the Anglican Church in Ghana, which seeks to move the church to a position of self-sufficiency, the President commended the decision of the church to establish an insurance brokerage.
“I want to congratulate the Bishop, Rt Rev Dr Daniel Torto and the entire membership of my Diocese of Accra Diocese for the substantial investment in the agricultural sector by cultivating one thousand (1,000) acres of rubber plantation. “The largest, privately owned rubber plantation in the country,” he stressed.
The President continued, “These and other projects undertaken by various dioceses are contributing positively to the economic growth of Ghana and the creation of jobs in various communities. Government is ready to partner and support various initiatives of the Church, especially in line with the guiding principles of state policy, to help develop a progressive and prosperous Ghana.
