The NDC MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, said Rev. In response to a query about Kusi Boateng’s dual identities.
In a lengthy statement, the NIA described the MP’s allegations as baseless, without merit and called on Ghanaians to ignore the allegations altogether.
According to the NIA, Mr. Ablakwa claimed that Rev. Kusi Boateng has no records in his database.
The NIA added that one of its registration centers in Kumasi issued an identity card to Kwabena Adu Gamfi after submitting all the necessary documents but no identity card bearing the name Victor Kusi Boateng was issued.
“During the mass registration exercise, Kwabena Adu Gambhi went to the NIA Registration Center, Wikandi School in Asuyoboh, Kumasi to register for the Ghana Card on 15 January 2020;
“He submitted to the NIA Registration Officers a valid Ghanaian passport issued by the Passport Office on 16th May 2018 with the name Kwabena Adu Gambhi; The expiry date on the said passport is 15th May 2023. The NIA Registration Officers registered Kwabena Adu Gambhi using his valid passport as the original identity document for his registration and duly issued him a Ghana Card;
“The NIA has no record of anyone with the name Victor Kusi Boateng in the NIR and the NIA has no record of anyone born in the NIR on 7th September 1971 or any other day with the name Victor Kusi Boateng.”
Mr. Okudjeto Ablakwa, on Monday, January 16, appealed to the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to investigate the payment of GH₵ 2.6 million to JNS Talent, a company owned by the Secretary of the National Cathedral Board, Victor Kusi Boateng. Under a different identity.
Mr. Ablakwa alleged that some GH¢2.6 million was given to JNS Talent Center Limited, which runs a kindergarten in Dauhenya, to help build the cathedral.
