Asante Kotoko have signed Brazilian striker Mathews Medeiros de Souza on a six-month loan deal.
This season, the Ghanaian champions are competing for both the league and the FA Cup and they believe the Brazilian can help them win both. “Matheus Medieros De Souza has joined Asante Kotoko on a six-month contract, with a one-year option to extend,” Kotoko announced.
“The enterprising left-footed forward will be expected to bolster our striking department in our quest to achieve our season’s goals, with his trademark goals and assists.”
“He is the second player to join us this window after Rashid Norte.”
“Mathews is the third Brazilian to join us after successful spells with Michael Vinicius and Fabio Gama.”
“We welcome Matthews to the Porcupine family and wish him every success.”
Kotoko are fourth in the league, three points behind leaders Aduana Stars, and they qualified for the FA Cup round of 16 last week.
