Ghana are without a coach after Otto Addo stepped down following the team’s group-stage exit from the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Earlier this month, the GFA revealed that more than 60 coaches have so far applied for the Black Stars coaching role.
However, Sam George, speaking on Joy Prime TV, said former Newcastle United manager Hughton had already been given permission.
“That job has already been given to Chris Hughton. They’ve given it to him because they want someone to manipulate,” MLA said.
“Anyone can use them for their business. They can interfere with someone’s choices. Let’s not waste our time. People are using GFA to feed their families so let’s go and find money to eat. “
Sam George launched a scathing attack on the GFA, insisting the country’s football governing body had been reduced to a business enterprise.
He cited Qatar’s selection of left-armer Abdul Baba Rahman for the 2022 World Cup as one of the reasons why the GFA is unreliable.
“Some are using GFA to support their families. Have you forgotten what happened at the World Cup? The NDC MP alleged.
“Tell us how Baba Rahman found his way into our final team in our last match in the World Cup. What ball did he play in the past? Isn’t Baba Rahman’s agent our GFA president?
“People in this country shouldn’t annoy us because we’ve already crushed our faces and laughed.” he added.
