A former top intelligence official who signed the infamous letter painting the Hunter Biden laptop story as ‘Russian disinformation’ admits he and others knew things “had to be real” but decided to sign on anyway.
Douglas Wise made the stunning but completely unexpected remarks in an interview with The Australian.
“We all find that in order for any Russian disinformation to be credible, a significant portion of that content has to be real,” admitted a former senior CIA operations official.
Weiss went on to assert that the letter never explicitly stated that they had evidence of the disinformation claims, although the incitement was clear enough and the media left no nuance in an effort to help Joe Biden defeat President Trump.
In other words, it was himself A disinformation campaign by Americans alone against the American people.
“The letter said it had the hallmarks of Russian fraud and we should consider that as a possibility,” he said. “It’s not saying Hunter Biden is a good person, it’s not saying what he did was right and it’s not guilty, it’s just a warning letter.”
This is not “just a warning letter”.

Official admits he knew Hunter Biden laptop was real
Just a warning letter. They want you to think. The ‘intel’ community thinks you are too stupid to pick up on the fact that this is a deliberate disinformation campaign.
Although the alleged ‘intelligence’ officer was completely wrong about the intelligence, Mr. Weiss has no qualms about spreading deep state misinformation.
Weiss insists he “(didn’t) regret signing the letter” because “the context was important.”
Context is important, but facts are clearly damaging.

The reality is that the 51 ‘Intel officials’ who signed the letter had no way of knowing and could not prove the laptop. was not True from the beginning.
They spread that message anyway, going so far as to pressure social media companies like Twitter and Facebook.
Instead of Big Tech and the legacy media asking the intel community to prove their allegations, they all essentially responded with ‘if you say so’ and tried to hide it from the American people.
He disrupted the election.
Douglas Weiss admitted that he and others knew “a significant part of that stuff must be true”. https://t.co/qSWi4RwUvh

Will they ever pay for their lies?
Weiss was one of more than 50 intelligence officials who claimed before the 2020 presidential election that the New York Post bombshell regarding the president’s son’s laptop had “all the classic hallmarks of a Russian information operation.”
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA directors Mike Hayden, John Brennan and Leon Panetta all signed the letter.
The media has been reluctant and slow to confirm the authenticity of the laptop’s contents years After the fact, none of these men apologized for misleading voters and tampering with the American election.
One of the so-called “Intel experts” who signed the letter claiming the Hunter Biden laptop was “Russian disinformation” now admits he knew it was true, tells you everything you need to know about the intelligence community.

Vice is not about breaking the mold. In fact, they signal a new shift in the strategy of doubling down on a completely bogus claim and hoax devised by the intel community and spread by the media.
Another former CIA officer, David Preece, was recently given a platform to apologize on Fox News and instead doubled down.
Preece, author of the book – I Kidd You Not – How to get rid of the presidentHost Brett Baier challenged him but took the same line, saying he never made it clear that he had proof of Russian disinformation.
Weiss initially declined to comment on the fact that he and these other Intel officials had apparently been duped. But now they have no problem accepting. Why? Because the chances of them ever being held accountable are slim to none. And they achieved their goal of ousting Trump.
It was one of the biggest scandals in modern American history. And they do not regret their actions.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has vowed to subpoena Intel officials involved with the letter.
“Those 51 intel agents who signed the letter saying the Hunter Biden information was false β the Russian Federation β many of them have security clearances,” McCarthy said.
“Why did they sign?” He continued. “Why did he lie to the American public?”

Will McCarthy follow through on that threat?
The intel community, the media, and the Democrat Party are clearly opposed to being more interested in doing what’s right and staying in power.
And they will certainly continue to do so until someone is punished for their misdeeds.
