A pharma student at the University of Pittsburgh died suddenly on December 20, 2022.
Dr. Lindsey Ann Heck, 25, died suddenly of “unknown causes” in December.
“Lindsey was the light of everyone’s life; Her smile lit up a room and her smile was contagious. She was a loyal friend and faithful to all she loved. Lindsey loved fiercely and lived her life always putting others before herself,” according to her obituary.
“He was the valedictorian of the class of 2016 in the Tunkhannock Area School District. He then received his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in May 2022, where he graduated summa cum laude. He was a Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in Community Pharmacy Practice Development and Research Fellowship. He loved teaching students, conducting research, conducting multiple vaccination clinics, and sharing his passion and knowledge with others,” his obituary reads.

Two weeks after Lindsey’s death, her father suffered a fatal aortic dissection and is currently receiving medical care in the cardiac intensive care unit, according to a GoFundMe page set up for Lindsey’s sister Carly.
In Lindsey’s final moments, Carly was by her side, heroically performing CPR but to no avail.
