    UPDATE: McCarthy removes Eric Swalwell, Ilhan Omar and Adam Schiff from committees after learning of Swalwell lash out

    Update: House Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) confirmed in a tweet Tuesday that he, Adam Schiff (D-CA), and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) would be removed from key committees.

    Swalwell tweeted, “#BREAKING Rep. @ByronDonalds @thereidout admits that @SpeakerMcCarthy
    Me, @RepAdamSchiff and @Ilhan are being kicked out of our committees with absolute vengeance.

    Swalwell’s tweet confirms two things. McCarthy is making good on his promise. Byron Donald is definitely under his skin.

    House Speaker Kevin McCarthy told reporters Monday that he plans to remove Democrats Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell and Ilhan Omar from the committees they previously served on.

    Both Schiff and Swalwell served on the House Intelligence Committee, with the former serving as chairman. Swalwell also had a role on the Homeland Security Committee. Omar served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

    McCarthy specifically pointed to Swalwell, who has been charged with ties to Chinese spies, as a security liability on the Intel and Homeland Security committees.

    “Swalwell cannot get security clearance in the private sector. I’m not going to give him a government security clearance,” McCarthy declared.

    He continued, “Schiff lied to the American public.”

    Why should McCarthy remove Swalwell, Schiff, Omar from committees?

    A bombshell report in 2020 indicated that a woman named Christine Fong (aka Fong Fong) “participated in fund-raising activities for Rep. Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign” and “interacted with the congressman at multiple events over several periods.” years.”

    Fang served as a Chinese intelligence operative in China’s Ministry of State Security.

    There has been speculation that the relationship was sexual, which Swalwell has not specifically denied. So relations with spies in a hostile communist country seem compromised.

    So, her role in the House Foreign Affairs Committee should have been questioned long ago.

    And Schiff, a notorious leaker who repeatedly claimed inside knowledge on matters involving the Russian Federation, was ultimately proven a liar.

    He used and abused his position of power to promote false allegations against former President Donald Trump.

    Schiff, you may recall, was a comedian who made dirty promises on Trump as a member of the Ukrainian parliament, going so far as to arrange for his own staff to collect “classified” material for the FBI.

    In addition, Schiff has previously been caught fabricating quotes from Trump and doctoring text messages presented as evidence during the January 6 Select Committee hearing.

    That man is not on the Intel board, let alone acting as chairman.

    Promise made, promise ippt?

    McCarthy’s pledge to oust Schiff, Swalwell and Omar from their previous committee assignments was a follow-up to a promise he made before being named speaker.

    McCarthy told Breitbart News last January that the move was based on a trend started by Democrats themselves.

    “Democrats have created a new thing where they pick and choose who’s on committees,” McCarthy explained. “Never in history [of Congress] Tell the minority who can be on the committee whether you have a majority.

    Democrats removed Republican House members Marjorie Taylor Green and Paul Gosar from their committees, while former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to seat two pro-Trump congressmen picked by McCarthy on a select committee to investigate the Capitol riots.

    They voted to censure Gosar and remove him from the Oversight and Reform and Natural Resources committees, via a satirical cartoon video. A parody cartoon.

    Democrats also removed inappropriate social media posts by Green (R-GA) from the Education and Labor Committee and the Budget Committee. first for election to his office.

    McCarthy viewed both situations as excessive, and Republicans in control of the House vowed to give back their committee assignments to both men.

    “They will have committees,” he vowed, “they may have better Tasks of the Committee.”

    Democrats would be virtually apoplectic to see Schiff, Swalwell, or Omar replace Green and Gosar on various committees.
