The VP, Product Strategy will be instrumental in driving CNN’s Digital Products & Services group towards achieving its ambitious product and user growth goals. This high-impact role requires a strategic visionary with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, driving product excellence, and fostering user growth in a dynamic digital environment. Your Role Accountabilities… Drive Product Excellence and User Growth: Collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative strategies that enhance product quality and accelerate user growth across CNN’s digital portfolio. Your leadership will be crucial in setting the direction and ensuring the success of our digital products. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of internal strategy experts dedicated to product growth and excellence. Provide mentorship, strategic direction, and support to ensure the team achieves its objectives and contributes to the overall success of the organization. Strategic Initiatives: Spearhead ad-hoc strategic initiatives by crafting detailed work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, conducting thorough analyses, and developing actionable recommendations. Establish new operating cadences where necessary to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Roadmap Development: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Design, UX, and other key stakeholders to shape and refine product roadmaps. Ensure that our product strategies are aligned with business objectives and user needs, and that they drive measurable outcomes. Annual Planning and OKR-Setting: Lead the annual planning process and OKR-setting across multiple cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Technology. Ensure alignment on key business priorities and foster a culture of accountability and excellence. User Acquisition and Engagement: Collaborate with Product Management, Audience, and Revenue Strategy teams to develop and execute high-impact strategies for user acquisition and engagement. Optimize resource allocation and budget management to maximize ROI and drive sustainable growth. Qualifications & Experience… Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, corporate advisory, or product management, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree. 8 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives. 8 years of experience working with executive stakeholders. 4 years of experience managing a team. Proven experience in digital consumer products, media, and/or technology sectors. Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $147,980.00 - $274,820.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
