RESIDENCY : Candidate must be a California resident. Chico State Enterprises is not a sponsoring

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy
Program) Manager, the incumbent will work with other marketing professionals to develop materials
and ad campaigns to promote Passages HICAP and build the online footprint.

• Creativity and able to design eye-catching marketing ads using design software
• Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize, plan, and adhere to deadlines
• Strong communication skills, reply promptly to emails and phone calls as this is a remote

position

• Work well alone and as a team
• Proficient in Spanish and able to translate ads from English to Spanish
  
  

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: By reference to education and previous experience, must be able to
demonstrate the ability to perform the job functions stated above. This position will require
knowledge of the basics of Medicare, Senior Medicare Patrol, and Medicare Improvement for Patients
& Providers Act. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; a strong
understanding of social/human/aging services; working knowledge of various software and social
media platforms; Bi-lingual Spanish/English required.



Education & Experience

• 1 year experience in marketing
• 2 years’ experience in non-profit sector
• Proficiency in Google DRIVE, social media platforms, Survey Monkey, Facebook Insights, and

similar platforms are preferred

• Experience with software like WordPress, Canva, and Word is required
  
  

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required

for employment. Chico State Enterprises will make a conditional offer of employment, which
may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is
discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to
satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a

current Chico State Enterprises employee who was conditionally offered the position.
