The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeks a Research Fellow to focus on next-generation, translational pathology studies who will work within the Wolpin-Nowak laboratory as part of the Hale Family Center for Pancreatic Cancer Research () and the Lustgarten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Research Laboratory at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (). The Wolpin-Nowak laboratory studies the epidemiology and biology of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The pathology portion of the laboratory is focused on multimodal characterization of human PDAC specimens from large landscape cohorts as well as specimens collected for clinical trial correlative studies. We employ and develop genomic, transcriptomic, and protein-based techniques to study PDAC and its microenvironment with a focus on digital imaging, spatial technologies, and automated analysis pipelines driven by machine learning. Members of our lab collaborate extensively with other laboratories in the Hale Center, including those focused on mouse and experimental model systems, immunology, and mathematics/bioinformatics, in order to maximize the information we can generate from human tumor specimens.
*This role is heavily pathology focused and requires Multiplex Immunofluorescence (mIF) experience.
