As the Pharmacy Technician II, you will have the opportunity to support of the Department of Pharmacy Services with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and patient safety.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Supervisor to ensure day to day operational needs are met
• Prepare compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) using aseptic techniques and in following processes in full compliance with USP 797, USP 800, and other applicable regulations
• Complete CSPs to ensure efficient and cost-effective care for our patients
• Assist in any batching activities
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, verifying that supplies within the area are within date and stored under appropriate conditions
• Order, receive, and restock CSP supplies to meet daily demands of the pharmacy
• Orient and train new pharmacy personnel

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma required; Bachelors Degee preferred
• At least 3 years of pharmacy experience required
• At least 1 year of experience in infusion or hospital pharmacy preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in sterile compounding preferred
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required, unless enrolled in a PharmD program
