About the DepartmentThe University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics competes at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics with the vision to reach Next Level Success for all 18 varsity teams and more than 500 student-athletes. The Bearcats have a proud athletics history, winning eight national championships and 117 conference titles. The Cincinnati men's basketball team is among the 15 winningest programs all-time, while the football team became the first American Athletic Conference program to compete in the College Football Playoff in 2021. Olympic gold medalist volleyball player Jordan Thompson, NBA Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson and Major League Baseball legend Sandy Koufax are among the several luminaries who have competed as Bearcats.

Job Overview The University of Cincinnati, Athletics Performance Nutrition is seeking applications for a Performance Nutrition Fellow (Athletic Intern). The fellow will actively participate as a member of the Performance Nutrition unit and will work directly with assigned sports teams in collaboration with the support staff and coaching staff while supporting the goals and initiatives of the Performance Nutrition unit. The Performance Nutrition Fellow will work under supervision of the Director of Performance Nutrition.
This is a part-time ( 40 hours), hourly position, not benefit eligible, lasting approximately 10 months with the possibility of an extension for a maximum duration of 24 months. This position is expected to run from the end of July 2024 through May 2025.
The individual in this position will have the ability to work a non-standard work week, including weekends and holidays. Effective oral and written communication, presentation, nutrition counseling skills, and strong interpersonal skills will be necessary for a successful applicant.
Bachelor's Degree.
