Location: GA-Atlanta Job Title: Motion Graphics Designer - WSB TV Position Overview Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for developing and creating high end motion graphics for the station's various departments with a major focus on marketing. The ideal candidate will have experience designing motion graphics in a fast-paced environment, while also displaying an aptitude and passion for design, art, and trending concepts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities As a Motion Graphics Designer, you will be imbedded within a team of experienced producers responsible for various station projects and initiatives. You will be looked to as a leader and driving force in all design aspects of the department and station. Responsibilities include the creation of eye-catching motion graphics and animations to support and grow our brand through marketing and programming. You will lead station graphic design projects for one-time local programs, reoccurring shows, and weekly sports programming. This role will also collaborate closely with Cox Media Group's Design Studio team which supports daily newscast graphic needs for WSB-TV's Channel 2 Action News. You must be an organized team player and be able to collaborate with other departments while meeting strict deadlines. The Motion Graphics Designer will be in constant communication with the Marketing Director and station producers on project quality, execution, and asset delivery. Minimum Qualifications Independent and organized Minimum 5-years' experience in motion graphics design Extensive knowledge of current design and typography trends for video Expert knowledge of Adobe CC suite; specifically, After Effects and Photoshop Expert knowledge of Cinema 4D Experience with Chyron and LUCI 5 Experience with iNews Experience with Newsticker including specific setups like squeeze backs, snipes, elections, and sponsor logo changes Knowledge of video-editing and video production equipment Cinema camera and still photography experience is a plus Able to work flexible schedules About Cox Media Group CMG Media Corporation (d/b/a Cox Media Group) is an industry-leading media company with unparalleled brands, award-winning content, and exceptional team members.
