Job Description
Who we are:
Allocate is modernizing the private markets, making alternative investments more accessible and streamlined for wealth advisory firms and family offices. Backed by leading firms and driven by a mission to remove barriers in private market investing, we leverage over 100 years of collective experience to transform the industry. We offer resources like the Allocate Institute, a curated library of articles and webinars to deepen our clients' understanding of private markets.
What we're looking for:
We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Marketing and Community Events Manager to join our growing team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to take ownership of both strategic and tactical elements of marketing and both virtual and in-person event management. You'll be responsible for driving impactful events, marketing campaigns, and initiatives that elevate our brand and engage with key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Chief Client Experience Officer, you'll help position Allocate as a thought leader in the industry and play a critical role in connecting with and moving wealth advisory firms, family offices, and other private market stakeholders through the Allocate journey.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for marketing and event management. You thrive in both team environments and working independently and understand the power of relationship-building-whether in-person at events or through social media engagement. You are eager to take the initiative and drive impactful campaigns that resonate across Allocate's target audiences.
What you'll be doing:
Event Strategy & Project Management:
Lead planning, execution, and management of events that elevate Allocate's presence and meet strategic business goals.
Own the project management process, from concept development and budgeting to on-site execution and post-event analysis.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event logistics, including venue selection, speaker coordination, registration, and guest list management.
Manage sponsorship opportunities, working closely with sponsors to ensure successful partnerships.
Marketing Campaigns:
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that amplify the impact of events and drive brand awareness, engagement, and attendance.
Create compelling content for event invitations, social media, newsletters, and press releases, including working with internal subject matter experts to draft communications and collateral.
Optimize event marketing to increase attendance, engagement, and ROI.
Data & Reporting:
Define and track KPIs for events and marketing campaigns, using data to inform strategy and refine future strategies.
Analyze event and campaign metrics such as attendance, conversion rates, and community engagement.
Collaborate cross-functionally, including with the Relationship Management team, to define, incorporate, and measure analytics that enhance overall business objectives and client experience.
Social Media Management:
Develop and manage a strategic social media presence to engage and inform Allocate's community.
Curate and create content that showcases Allocate's expertise and drives meaningful interactions.
Stay current on social trends and best practices to optimize Allocate's digital footprint.
Budgeting:
Track expenses and ensure that event and campaign initiatives are executed within budget.
What you bring:
5+ years of experience in marketing, event management, or community engagement, with a strong emphasis on building processes.
Strong project management skills and a proven ability to take initiative and excel in both team-based projects and independent tasks.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for relationship-building and understanding the impact of in-person and online interactions.
Experience with tools like CRM platforms and event management software.
Experience or strong interest in working with a dynamic client base, including single-family offices, wealth advisory firms, and private market asset managers
Ability to travel for events and work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends.
Our Values & Culture:
Providing our clients with a world-class experience is our number one priority. We obsessively search for ways to improve the experience for our clients and partners. This requires extraordinary response times, proactivity, and ensuring that everything we do, from product strategy to offline communications, is a top-tier client experience.
Challenge convention: Instead of detailing why an idea may not work, we constantly question things to determine how a viable idea may be implemented.
Commitment to continuous improvement: We find ways to personally scale each day by pushing ourselves up the learning curve.
Meritocracy, not politics: We place the utmost value on results and rewards through merit, not reward actions driven by political agendas or behavior.
Civil Discourse is embraced: Open, intellectually curious conversations are required to make the best decisions. Respect is paramount in our dealings, but our mission is always to get the correct answer collectively.
Compensation, Benefits & Other Details:
Location: SF Bay Area (must be able to work from our Menlo Park, CA office 3 days a week or as needed)
Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000.
Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, location, skills, training, certifications and education, other relevant qualifications specific to the role, and internal equity and market data. Total compensation may include equity and discretionary performance-based bonuses based on individual, team, and company performance factors.
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, responsible time off (RTO), 401K
Employment: Full-time
This role will be subject to Allocate's Code of Ethics and related compliance obligations of Allocate.
