Job Summary:
As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the inventory operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities related to inventory management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely replenishment of stock to meet customer demands. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams within the company.

Responsibilities:
Assign and maintain product locations in Ulines WMS (Warehouse Management System).
Participate as a member of the Velocity/Supply Chain Team to execute projects in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Inventory Control to coordinate product movement, warehouse slotting changes and production rotation process.
  • Generate move sheets for items requiring primary changes.
  • Review and update warehouse inventory maps.
  • Utilize Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System (WMS) as a Super User.
  • Monitor the daily inbound/outbound workload and move personnel between functions as needed.
  • Interface with WSI customer service personnel and IT and be the conduit to our customers.
  • Analyze system data to optimize storage and labor capacity.
  • Ensuring safety is the top priority in the facility.
  • Be a change process champion by positively engaging site teams, coaching, documenting, and troubleshooting.
  • Train others on the team to utilize the WMS and solve problems.
  • Monitors inventory by completing counts as required. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Stores product by designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements; updating location database.
  • Picks-up product by monitoring production; loading and moving product.
  • Verifies product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports, adjusting entries.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement, keeping the warehouse clean and door free as possible.
  • Recommend ways to improve warehouse safety and process efficiency.
  • Help maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
  • Help with production orders when needed.

Proven experience in inventory management
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
