Job Title: Immigration Defense Attorney
Job Location: Austin, TX
Job Salary: 80k - 110k + Full Benefits

Based in Austin, TX, we are an established 20-year firm specializing in Criminal Defense and Immigration law.

Due to growth, we are hiring a Removal Defense Immigration Attorney in our Austin office. Must have 1+ years of experience as an Immigration Attorney focused on removal defense. The ideal candidate should have experience conducting legal research, drafting motions, and engaging in courtroom advocacy.

Must have a JD degree with an active license to practice law in the U.S., preferably in Texas.

What You Will Be Doing

• Represent both detained and non-detained clients in immigration removal proceedings, including cases related to cancellation of removal, asylum, and bond hearings.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and engage in courtroom advocacy.
• Implement department policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Maintain communication with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring compassionate and effective representation.
• Regular travel to jails, immigration courts, and detention centers in Central Texas to support client representation.

What You Need for this Position

Must Have Skills: 

1. 1+ years of experience as an Immigration Attorney focused on removal defense. 
2. Experience conducting legal research, drafting motions, and engaging in courtroom advocacy.
3. JD degree with an active license to practice law in the U.S., preferably in Texas. 

Nice To Have Skills: 

1. E xperience with family-based immigration (I-130s, adjustment of status, consular processing, I-601A waivers), and VAWA.
