Job Summary:

SAVA is in search of a dedicated IT professional to join our family as a Computer Technician II (OTC) on our ATEC IT Support team for our customer with the United States Army at the Operational Test Command (OTC) located in Fort Cavazos, TX. Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops, coordinates, and assists in the installation, configuration, utilization, and operation of IT equipment
• Assists in the review of functional user justifications and requirements for new or additional IT capabilities in either hardware or software solutions
• Provides technical assistance to customers to minimize disruptions of computer
• Deploys IT hardware such as, but not limited to, desktop computers, laptops, tablets, monitors and printers
• Assists in the completion of special projects such as operating system upgrades, life cycle replacements, mass deployments of IT hardware, etc.
• Identifies hardware failures and ensure that repairs are accomplished when under vendor warranty
• Maintains, updates, and resolves tickets in government ticketing system

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active DoD issued Secret Clearance required
• Security+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT II) or A+/Network+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT I)
• Relevant education/experience requirements:
• 0 plus years with Masters
• 1 plus years with Bachelors
• 3 plus years with Associates
• 5 plus year with no degree
• Experience must include technical knowledge of installing, configuring, repairing, and maintaining software, hardware, configurations, and peripherals.
• Ability to isolate equipment/system/software malfunctions and restore failed equipment to good working order.
• Experience conducting operational checks and replacing defective parts and assemblies.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as cable making/repair, IP address schema, and LAN implementation and configuration.

• Outstanding Customer Service and Communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
