Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is supporting a pardon for Army Sergeant Daniel Perry for the fatal shooting of an armed BLM (Black Lives Matter) protester.
Air Force veteran Garrett Foster, a protester, carries a rifle during a July 2020 protest in downtown Austin.
Perry’s defense argued that Foster was part of an angry mob surrounding his vehicle, which he was using as an Uber driver at the time, and that the victim pointed his weapon at what appeared to be a less-than-ready victim. of Perry.
Perry, he argued, had acted in self-defense.
Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza, a George Soros-backed prosecutor, charged Perry with murder and convinced a jury to find in his favor.
Perry is now facing life in prison after his conviction.

The case of Daniel Perry is clear. When threatened, he saved his own life.

While the Left wants you to think they are criminally going after Trump and his campaign, always remember that Soros-backed DAs across the country also track down the average person in their quest to protect people of the same political persuasion.
It’s part of an ongoing effort to weaponize government resources against average Americans.
“When Garrett Foster pointed his AK-47 at Daniel Perry, Daniel had two-tenths of a second to defend himself. He chose to live,” Perry’s attorney told Fox News.
“If you point a gun at someone, you’re responsible for everything that happens next.”
If you’re illegally blocking public roads and then terrorizing a vehicle, you don’t need an AK-47 pointed in the driver’s general direction to guarantee a quick response. At least, that’s what happens in a rational country.
What if Perry had been in the car with his wife and/or kids? Should they wait and make sure it’s another one of those ‘peaceful’ BLM protesters they hear so much about on the news?

Paxton joined “Fox & Friends” to discuss the case, pointing out the dangers of a rogue Soros prosecutor going after citizens in an effort to score political points.
“The Legislature needs to address malicious prosecutions, and prosecutors who aren’t doing their jobs and aren’t prosecuting real crimes,” Paxton insisted.
“This guy (Garza) ignores real crime, a lot of property crimes, drug crimes, abortion, any crime he doesn’t like, he’ll get over,” he added. “And then they maliciously prosecute people they don’t like for political purposes.”
The Texas BLM self-defense case is part of a growing trend.
“He doesn’t deserve to go to jail.”

Perry’s calls for forgiveness
The conviction of Army Sergeant Daniel Perry must be seen through the lens of attempts to “correct” the perceived wrongs of the Kyle Rittenhouse acquittal.
To the left, Perry is a notch in his political belt.
As such, Paxton is supporting growing support for a pardon for Perry, who had every right to defend himself.
“I honestly hope they take into account what happened, especially when you’re an investigator, an investigator, and then let this guy get a pardon, because he doesn’t deserve to go to prison,” he said, referring to the Texas State Parole Board. A review of the content.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has indicated that he will proceed with the pardon as soon as possible.
I am proceeding as expeditiously as Texas law allows regarding the pardon of Sgt. Perry,” Abbott tweeted over the weekend.

Abbott said the ‘stand your ground’ laws in Texas simply cannot be “nullified” by a progressive district attorney with an agenda.
Garza has accused investigators of tampering with witnesses and withholding evidence in the case.
Meanwhile, a local news affiliate analyzed past cases and noted that Garza has had dozens of felony cases dismissed for serious crimes over the years.
