After years of witch hunts against Donald Trump, some Democrats are finally realizing they can fight back.
Trump’s latest impeachment has reportedly worried some Democratic lawmakers.
One Democrat representative said, “I think we should all be very careful. There is a high risk of Donald Trump becoming a victim.
He worries that people will see Trump’s impeachment for what it is, a politically motivated witch hunt.
House Democratic leadership told members they didn’t have to comment on the impeachment — those who did comment were advised to keep the message basic.
The Western Journal reported:
Congressional Democrats have not uniformly celebrated the impeachment, arrest, and judicial detention of former President Donald Trump as much as one might expect.
Axios spoke to several lawmakers, some of whom wished to remain anonymous if they were going to share their true feelings about the impeachment.
“I think we all have to be very careful. There is a high risk that Donald Trump will become a victim,” a Democratic representative told Axios. “We don’t need to put kerosene on fire.”

An unnamed “Democratic leadership aide” told the outlet that party leaders in the House are reminding members that they are under no obligation to comment on Trump’s impeachment — advice President Joe Biden has also received.
Some Democrats tried to change the subject from Trump’s impeachment in their responses — while other Democrats had positive reactions to the impeachment.

Rep. Greg Landesman (D-Ohio) turned a lot of Democrats’ heads Friday with Trump’s impeachment remarks: “People have to do with Trump… [we] Our focus should be on the real work of leading this country.
Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.) told Axios that many of her colleagues agree with Landsman that “we need to focus on the issues.”
“There is no role for Congress in this,” said former Trump impeachment manager Rep. David Cicilline (DR.I.) said. “You see Democrats focusing more on the things that matter in people’s lives. I think most people are beyond Donald Trump… [and are not] Follow these legal processes.”

Rep. Jamal Bowman (DN.Y.), said his constituents stimulated his vocal response.
