Self-help author Marianne Williamson, who is running for president in 2020, has officially announced that she will be running against Joe Biden in the 2024 primary for the Democratic nomination.

Williamson made the announcement at the kickoff ceremony in Washington DC last weekend.

“We are upset about this country, we are worried about this country,” he told a crowd of hundreds. “Our job is to create a vision of justice and love that is so powerful that it overrides the forces of hatred and injustice and fear.”

His remarks are reminiscent of Williamson’s 2020 campaign, which included calls for hippie-esque spiritual healing.

The Democrat primary challenger later positioned herself as an outsider to the political establishment and admitted she was a long shot.

“I have run for president in the past. I am not naive about these powers that have no intention of allowing anyone into this conversation who does not fit their predetermined agenda,” he said.

“I understand that in their minds, only the people who were in the back of the car that brought us into this ditch could be considered worthy of getting us out of it.”

Marianne Williamson rips the media for rolling their eyes at her primary challenge

News of Marion Williamson’s primary challenge was largely met with a collective eye roll from Democrats and the media.

Williamson is “not a credible candidate on any issue,” Democrat strategist Matt Bennett told The Hill.

To be fair, neither is President Biden, and look where we are today.

“If that’s the only primary challenge he faces, Joe Biden can rest easy until the general election,” Bennett added.

When Joe Biden not ‘Relax too easy’?

To her credit, Marianne Williamson isn’t taking disrespect lying down. In an interview with ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl, she confronted The Associated Press, calling her “a long shot.”

He handed the AP and Hillary Clinton’s ass in one fell swoop.

“I bet the Associated Press said Hillary Clinton was a shoo-in,” he rants.

Jonathan Carl: “The Associated Press said you were the ‘longest of the long shots.’ Why do you think you can do this?”

Led a ‘prayer of forgiveness’ to black audiences

To be sure, Marianne Williamson not A serious contender for the White House. But he’s not exactly far from the reservations your typical Democrat candidate represents.

He is a staunch opponent of the Second Amendment and has proposed paying $500 billion to descendants of former slaves.

And, despite insisting she’s not a “vague New-Age nutcase”, a white fan at a tour event once demanded she join her in a ‘prayer of forgiveness’ to the black members in attendance.

In 2016, Williamson wrote a poem titled “A Prayer for Forgiveness for African-Americans”, excerpts of which were used at the 2016 event.

“With this prayer I acknowledge the depth of the atrocities committed against black people in America,” he writes. “For all the oppression and all the injustice… I apologize, please forgive us.”

How is that different from someone like Biden, Elizabeth Warren, or your average cookie-cutter squad member?

Just two months into Joe Biden’s presidency, Williamson said she said “So tired of hearing excuses already.”
