California Governor Gavin Newsom has finally been located. Turns out he was on a “personal trip” to Baja California, where his units were freezing to death.
San Francisco Chronicle reporter Emily Hoven is here with the news.
New: @GavinNewsom His press office informed that he has returned to the state.

We all remember the media frenzy two years ago when Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) briefly flew to Cancun despite a power outage in Texas, despite having no power to help. Don’t expect the same reaction from the corporate press, even though Newsom is literally the most powerful elected leader in the state.
As TGP’s Christina Laila previously reported, residents of San Bernardino, Calif., are stuck with snow and out of supplies after a recent winter storm dumped several feet of snow on the area.
In addition to supply concerns, some roads remain closed.
ABC7 reporter David Gonzales previously reported on Crestline that it was a ‘life and death situation.’

On Friday, the San Bernardino Sheriff blocked 6 private helicopters from landing and threatened the pilots with criminal citations. Sources say there is now a CA government memo to land private helicopters but no one has seen it.

Van Laar has a believable theory as to why Newsom doesn’t seem to care, even when San Bernardino residents plead for help by writing “Help Us” in the snow.
hey @GavinNewsom When your units have to resort to this to get food and life-saving supplies, you’ve failed miserably. You are ignoring them

This is almost certainly because the Biden administration was too slow to help East Palestine, Ohio residents after the toxic train derailment. As TGP previously reported, he wanted to punish voters for not supporting Biden.
The news is only bad for Californians. In northern California’s Mendocino County, some residents, especially senior citizens, have been stuck in their homes for more than 10 days. They remain without electricity and are running low on supplies.
Crazy stuff is happening in NorCal because of the storms. Seniors were stuck in their homes for 10+ days as they could not cross the snow level in mountainous areas. #Mendocino County. Still no electricity or cell service. #CAwx 1/3

In Humboldt County, north of California’s state capital Sacramento, CAL FIRE, the US Coast Guard and the local sheriff’s department coordinated hay drops for cattle in rural areas because ranchers could not get them out to feed them.
Humboldt Co, CAL FIRE, US Coast Guard and Sheriff’s Departments coordinated hay drops for livestock in rural areas that could not be fed by ranchers by ground due to road and weather conditions. For the first time since 1989, he had to leave the grass. 6-8 feet of snow. Many were not fed for 8 days. 2/3
