In December 2022, Gateway Pundit reported on five Antifa members who were arrested and detained on terrorism charges after protesting outside a $90 million police training center near Atlanta, Georgia.
During the arrest, the police seized bombs, explosives, gasoline and weapons.
Additionally, protesters set fire to at least two vehicles during their protest at the training center site.
Protests have been going on since June 2021 when the training center was announced as opponents camped in the surrounding trees. Protesters have dubbed the center “Cop City”.
In January, TGP Stop Cop reported that a far left protester was killed by City ATL and a Georgia State Patrol trooper was injured during clashes near the facility.
On Sunday evening, smoke and fire were seen in the area and the site was locked down.

Fox 5 Atlanta reports:
Atlanta’s future public safety training facility, infamously dubbed ‘Cop City’ by protesters, has now been cleared of smoke and flames and the area has been secured. As night fell FOX 5 saw SWAT reporting to the scene.
Just before 8 p.m., a FOX 5 reporter at the field said he heard what sounded like fireworks or gunshots, but authorities have not yet confirmed that detail.
FOX 5 was told there was a heavy police presence on Key Road in southeast Atlanta Sunday evening. Protesters actively clashed with the authorities. At least one construction vehicle was set on fire, officials said.
We are told that the protest has been brought under control and many of the protesters have dispersed into the forest.
Rocks, sticks and even a Molotov cocktail were thrown at police, a Georgia State Trooper told FOX 5 photographer Billy Heath.
