Left-wing spiritual counselor Marianne Williamson has now announced her intention to challenge Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination in 2024, and already the sharp knives are coming out for her.
Democrat insiders are deriding her and her campaign as frivolous and a joke.
The truth is that they are terrified of a candidate to the left of Biden who could even split a portion of the Democrat vote.

Spiritual counselor and best-selling self-help author Marianne Williamson is facing backlash from within her own party after announcing over the weekend that she would mount a political challenge to President Biden.
Biden has yet to announce whether he will seek a second term as president in 2024.
Democratic activist and American lawyer Aaron Parnas took issue with those trying to legitimize Williamson’s candidacy, calling Biden one of the “most revolutionary” presidents in recent history.
“The media needs to stop legitimizing Marianne Williamson’s campaign for president,” Parnas wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “President Biden is one of the most revolutionary presidents in recent history and has the full support of Democrats across America. There is no legitimate primary. Biden is our nominee.
Santiago Mayer, founder and executive director of Voters of Tomorrow, downplayed Williamson’s campaign announcement, referring to her as a “joke” with financial motives.
“Let’s be clear: Marianne Williamson is a joke,” Mayer wrote. “She is a fundamentally unserious candidate running as a stunt to sell her books.”
“The best way to deal with her is not to address her,” political commentator and former Biden representative Lindy Li said on MSNBC after Saturday’s announcement.
