At the end of March, Walmart is closing its last two locations in Portland, Oregon.

The company’s official line on the closure is that it has to do with store displays, customer needs and other corporate discourse.

Does anyone suspect that it probably has a lot to do with theft? Portland is a hotbed of leftism, and over the past few years, shoplifting has become the norm for leftists.

    FOX 12 in Oregon reports:

All Portland Walmart stores will close permanently at the end of March

The last two Walmart stores within Portland’s city limits will close at the end of March, the company announced.

The locations at 1123 North Hayden Meadows Drive and 4200 Southeast 82nd Avenue in Eastport Plaza will close on Friday, March 24. Walmart said they are closing stores because they are not meeting financial expectations.

“The decision to close these stores was made after a careful review of their overall performance. In making these difficult decisions we consider many factors, including current and projected financial performance, location, population, customer needs and proximity to other nearby stores. After we decide to move forward, our focus will be on our associates and Focused on their transition, that’s what happens here,” a Walmart spokesperson said.

People who live near the closing stores say the closings will have a big impact on them and low-income shoppers.

“Safeway is my go to store if I have to but it’s three times the price I spend here,” Amanda Pahl said. β€œWhat are we going to do? You have to go further, then you have to spend gas money. It can be paid for at Safeway at this time.

As you can see in the video below, the locals are not happy about the news.

Fox 12 Oregon spoke with him #Portland Walmart shoppers are so devastated that its stores will close. They now have to go to more expensive grocery stores or drive further. Shoppers speculate mass theft is behind Walmart’s decision to close in Portland. https://t.co/xHyRKkhaOy pic.twitter.com/7kx8uS0wPe

This will affect the poor more than anyone else.

Does anyone on the left care?
