Athletes of all abilities from around the world tackle five events over two days of competition.
The 21st Annual Arnold Strongman Classic will take place March 3-4, 2023. Ten top-level competitors filled the ranks in both the strongman and strongwoman categories, including world champions and record breakers.
You’ll find coverage of the event below A muscle that breaks down Updated in real time. We’ll be covering the Strongman and Strongwoman results taking place in Columbus, OH.
2023 Arnold Strongman Classic Day One
The first day of competition begins with a cycle of pain inspired by Conan’s imaginary power and physique-building tool of torture. Competitors have a time limit of 60 seconds to carry a huge weighted bar as far as possible on a fixed track.
The final event of the day is a special log lift. Competitors have 90 seconds to achieve as many repetitions of 195 kilograms (430 pounds) or 175 kilograms (386 pounds) as possible. Scores are adjusted in favor of heavier weights, although some competitors may strategically use lighter equipment to produce more overall repetitions.

How Strongman Scored
Scoring points in competitive dominant events is related to the overall field of competitors. The first place can score as many points as there are contestants and go down according to the points.
For example, with a total of 10 contestants, first place earns 10 points; second place gets nine; the third gets eight; And so on.
In case of any tie scores, the points will be divided equally. If two athletes are tied for one place, add the respective placing points and divide by two. For example, if two athletes are tied for second place, they each score 8.5 points (nine [second place] plus eight [third place] divide by two).
